Founder & General Manager
Mohd Norfaidzal bin Haji Zainuddin
The company was founded by Mr. Mohammed Norfaidzal, who has been involved in the meat industry since the age of 18. He received six years of training at Bachelor Farm— now known as the Central Agri Group (CAG)—in Darwin, Northern Territory, and later worked for 10 years at Mulaut Abattoir. Through his extensive experience in the industry, he has developed deep expertise in livestock handling and meat processing. Today, under his leadership, the company imports both live livestock and frozen meat from Australia to Brunei.
Company History
Faidzal Abattoir (SMNF Company) has been in operation since 2005. Established as a family-owned and family-operated business, the company has grown steadily over the years to become one of Brunei Darussalam's leading livestock processing and meat importation companies.In 2012, the company expanded its operations into the importation of frozen beef and lamb from Australia under a government-issued quota system, allowing biannual imports. Through this arrangement, more than 100,000 tonnes of frozen meat and lamb are imported annually to help meet local market demand.
Over the years, the company has achieved several significant milestones. Faidzal Abattoir became one of the few abattoirs in Brunei to receive approval under the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS), an Australian regulatory framework that ensures animal welfare and traceability throughout the livestock supply chain. This certification permits the company to import live cattle and buffalo directly from Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia's largest livestock export hub.
Today, the company continues to expand its contributions to Brunei's agricultural sector while maintaining high standards in livestock handling, processing and distribution.

Halal-approved and registered in Brunei Darussalam, with a monthly slaughter capacity of 300-500 cattle and 50-100 goats.
5. Wholesale Meat Supply
Supplier of frozen beef and lamb in bulk, serving wholesalers and retailers with quality products at competitive prices.
6. Supporting Community & National Development
Providing Aqiqah and Qurban services while contributing to Brunei's agricultural growth and the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
